This second-year Didactic course introduces students to the fundamentals of diagnostic technologies. Topics include nucleic acid isolation techniques, nucleic acid quantification and visualization, PCR techniques, electrophoresis, enzymatic techniques, mass spectrophotometry, protein characterization and advancing methodologies within the clinical laboratory environment. Students will apply theoretical knowledge of laboratory techniques.
