This course will provide the learner with a detailed knowledge base of the principles, duties and responsibilities necessary to work effectively in the private investigation industry. The learner will interpret the Private Security and Investigative Services Act and related Code of Conduct. Analysis of Provincial and Federal Statutes, application of information laws, and comprehension of related legislation will be identified. Learners will apply investigative techniques while complying with principles of ethical reasoning. Learners will be taught the importance of good oral and written communication skills as well as the need to identify the qualities of a professional employed in this field.
