This course focuses on the Ontario Business Corporations Act, corporate practice and the documents required for corporations to legally exist and function. Students use legal specific software in a timed writing situation to become efficient at locating and completing a variety of corporate documents that would include Registration under the Business Name Act, Articles of Incorporation, resolutions, by-laws and maintenance of Minute Books and other operational documents. Lastly, the course concludes with an examination of the legal issues surrounding sale of a business.
