Emphasis will be on the breakdown and dissolution of the marriage and the respective rights of the parties involved. The Divorce Act will be covered in detail including a study of:, the grounds for divorce; the issuance and service of the Petition for Divorce; Corollary relief having to do with the issues of support, custody and access; obtaining the Divorce Judgement and the Certificate of Divorce; proceedings after the Certificate of Divorce, and enforcement and variation of Family Court Orders and the Divorce Judgement; Remarriage and Adoption.
