The purpose of this course is to build computer skills designed for the office professional. In this introductory level, students will be introduced to basic computer terminology, Windows operations including use of Microsoft Explorer, as well as basic functionality in Word and PowerPoint applications. A major focus of the in-class simulation labs will be to identify how these applications can be used within the professional office setting to maximize efficiency in documentation creation and management. Students will also be introduced to various methods for effective proof-reading and the integration of Word and PowerPoint for use within a modern automated environment.
