A course designated to introduce the student to the family and matrimonial laws as they apply in the Province of Ontario. The focus will be on the Family Law Act, and the Children's Law Reform Act, and areas of emphasis will include:, the rights of spouses, children and parents under both Acts; the concept of family property and the division of family property; the matrimonial home and the right to possession; marriage contracts and separation agreements; and custody and access rights.
