Society has come to recognize that personal and collective wellness is essential to an enriched quality of life. This course will enhance student knowledge of the health-related factors associated with success in the field of law and justice. Students, through lectures, group associations, practical experience, and self-evaluation, will explore such issues as: stress management, nutrition, heart health, and body composition. Students will reflect upon diet and coping strategies and create a plan of action to prepare for the rigours of careers in the fields of law and justice. Students will continue to evaluate personal fitness to attain occupational fitness standards for their career of choice. Students will be assessed in their performance in the PREP, PARE and FITCO Tests.
