Society has come to recognize that personal and collective wellness is essential to an enhanced quality of life. This course introduces the student to the concepts of wellness and provides practical strategies for developing a healthy lifestyle in preparation for a career in the fields of law and justice. Students, through lectures, practical experience, and self-evaluation, will explore such issues as: occupational assessment in the fields of law and justice, wellness, physical fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body composition, self-responsibility, and social interaction. The student will create strategies to develop, design, and implement an effective personal fitness program, as well as strategies for successful achievement of Bona Fide Fitness Requirement Standards in the fields of law and justice. Students will be introduced to PREP, PARE, and FITCO Testing.
