This course is designed to explain basic principles of global strategy, the various ways businesses can profit from global expansion and the different strategies firms can adopt to compete globally. In addition, the course will examine human resource management in international businesses focusing on staffing, management development, compensation and labour relations. International trading blocs and trade treaties will be identified to determine their impact on the development of trade patterns.
