This course is devoted to explaining the market research discipline as it pertains to global business. Obtaining appropriate research information can be obtained from many sources such as: published sources, electronic databases, networking with colleagues, customers, suppliers and competitors or conducting interviews, focus groups and surveys. Students will study the role, value and techniques of international trade research and apply their knowledge to the preparation of a trade research report. Students will chose a product and apply the knowledge obtained to analyze two countries and chose one of the two as the best prospect for marketing their product.
