Content Update & Integration

The focus for this final module will be on professional renewal. Through a variety of experiential options, you will have the opportunity to integrate new teaching skills and enhanced content knowledge into your current teaching. This 54-hour module is compulsory for all participants. It is an integral part of this program since it provides you with an opportunity to update teaching skills and knowledge in your content area. In the first 30 hours of this module, you will complete an update in your content area. A major assignment for this portion of the module will be to develop a learning contract that sets out the planning of your content update. This could involve course attendance (university or college), industry placement, literature review, or any suitable content upgrading proposal. In the final 24 hours of this module, you will develop up-to-date lesson plans. You will incorporate the elements of design acquired from previous modules as well as the current content derived from the first part of this module.
