The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the scope of international logistics/supply chain management. Students will be introduced to the individual aspects of this subject including planning a supply chain, supplier sourcing and procurement, operations and inventory management as well as common field terminology, modes of transportation and basic documentation requirements. Students will apply their knowledge through the preparation of a basic logistics plan for the physical distribution of a product into a foreign market.
