This course is an exploration into the historical aspects of presentation portfolios from Greek and Roman times through to the present day. The evolution of the portfolio as a means of communication between patron and artist to modern context of contractual documents will be examined. Client needs and appropriate interview processes are explored and developed through role playing. Instruction will be given with the assembly of a contemporary portfolio as an important component of a job applicant's presentation material. The portfolio, together with resume development, marketing, presentation, media production techniques, distance applications and interview, will be evaluated in terms of the positive image created.
