In this course students will explore the diverse cultural makeup of the Canadian mosaic across the various regions of the country as well as how this is reflected in the corporate culture of our leading firms. Students will examine the current state of business in Canada as well as the issues faced by firms under constant pressure from global competitors. Canada's strengths as a trading nation will be explored in the context of the key industries and entrepreneurial clusters that exist in regions across the country. Students will conduct in depth research of firms that are important to the country's manufacturing, technology, mining/resource development and service sectors. Canada's place within this global context is also considered in the course.
