The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the international trading environment and how firms manage their global trade ventures. Students will explore the current trends, issues and forces that set the context within which firms conduct international business. The effect of these conditions upon students as global consumers will also be explored., Students will examine the different forms of trade, the evolution of how nations have traded over the past century as well the changes and international agreements that have taken place in the last two decades which have altered and increased global trading relationships. The importance of culture in all aspects of international business, especially in common business negotiations will also be examined.
