This course is designed to increase the awareness of major issues found in the workplace. Topics will include hiring equity, workplace harassment, customer relations, physically challenged within the workplace, protection of oneself and others. There will also be a review of WHMIS, environmental issues, hazardous materials and fire safety practices. Research assignments will enable students to better understand government legislation and company policies.
