Because of the important role of guest-contact employees and the specific challenges facing the hospitality sector, the Human Resources (HR) function has become an integral part of the leadership of well-managed organizations. The student will learn the importance of HR Management to individuals, organizations, and society. The student will place the key HR functions within competitive, social, legal and organizational contexts and develop strategies to effectively manage all human resource management functions, regardless of the size of the operation or his or her position within it.
