This course provides the student with an overview of Hotel Management and typical daily operational functions, specific to the Rooms Division Department, including Housekeeping supervision. Students will learn how room rates, room assignments, cleaning standards are established, how target markets and market segments are defined, supplies and inventories are controlled, and about the components of the innkeeper act. As part of the evaluation students will choose form several related hotel research topics to complete written reports and present their findings in class.
