This course provides hospitality students with the foundation of skills and the techniques required in performing classic American-style service of foods & beverages. Students will practice these skills through demonstrations in our simulated dining room setting and in working together with their own kitchen team. Studies include order taking techniques, applying customer service and teamwork skills, and the correct and timely service of multi-course menus & wines. Further, students will demonstrate opening, closing, and side duties as part of lunch and dinner meal periods and special events
