Studentsof the Hospitality program will gain their first insight into the importance and impact the back of the house holds to a guest's satisfactory stay/experience and to a well run Hotel & Resort Operation. In this course the student will explore functions and responsibilities from a "back of the house or heart of the house" perspective with emphasis on housekeeping rooms division laundry and public area departments including discussions on maintenance grounds keeping and a large number of contract services. Guest speakers & site visits to large area Hotels and their suppliers will enhance lectures in this course.
