The goal of this course is to provide the student with the theoretical concepts and practical applications of the Micros 3500 Front Desk Property Management (POS) System. Because of the similarity among many hospitality automation systems, familiarity with Micros 3500 will allow the student an easier professional transition to automated systems at most hotels. The student will be equipped to perform basic computer functions related to the guest cycle. Students will also be introduced to the Sabre system, where they will learn the basic functions of booking hotels through a airline GDS. Thirdly, students will be introduced to MUNDUS, a virtual hotel reservation system.
