This course will focus on how to encourage persons who may have an emotional, physical and/or developmental disability to make decisions which will enhance satisfaction with their interactions, expectations and experiences. A variety of behavioural strategies that promote and support appropriate behavioural choices with individuals will be explored. Focus on positive behaviour supports, understanding behaviour as communication and, reviewing effective communication strategies will be a major focus.
