This course introduces the students to the importance of communication, helpful and harmful ways of communicating, and effective communication skills. It also provides an opportunity for students to examine their own communication patterns and beliefs. Through class exercises, small group activities and practice sessions, students will develop basic helping skills. Video taped recordings will be used.
