This module of study will include classroom theory with practice and experience in selected salons to commence at approximately week twenty-five. Once a student has a good understanding of hair texture in relation to haircutting, he or she will be able to relate the techniques and equipment used to achieve a specific result, and the ability to design a haircut that will complement the client. When these objectives are realized, the demand for services will exceed their expectations. Topics will include tools used, hair texture, communication, and techniques necessary to achieve specific results in haircutting with emphasis placed on beard and moustache trim.
