Bacteriology and Decontamination can not be over emphasized during the draping, shampooing and rinsing component of the Hairstyling / Cosmetology program. The cosmetologist must be able to recognize the reason for and the effects of shampoo and rinses. He or she must identify when a specific procedure or product is required and the precautions that should be used.
