This course is the fourth of five courses that prepare the student to challenge the Gas Technician III exam as administered by Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). This course introduces the student to basic electrical theory and practice. The student will be taught Ohm's law, magnetism, series and parallel circuits, AC and DC and other related electrical concepts. In the lab, the student will establish experimentally circuits and transformers and measure voltage, current and resistance. The emphasis will be on safe electrical working techniques and electrical code applications.
