This course is the third of five courses that prepare the student to challenge the Gas Technician III exam as administered by Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). Several codes and regulations under Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and TSSA will be covered. The student will be able to access the proper code to ascertain safe and proper installation. An introduction to basic gas appliances with the emphasis on safe gas delivery and venting is covered. The students will select various appliances throughout the shop and they will have to explain the theory of operation of these appliances and their related controls at random.
