This course is the sixth of nine courses that prepare the student to challenge the Gas Technician II exam as administered by Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). The student will determine whether an oil burner can be retrofitted with a gas conversion burner and apply relevant code sections and proper installation techniques to replace these burners. The student will take appropriate measurements and calculate combustion efficiency and seasonal efficiency. Selection, installation, maintenance and servicing of decorative appliances and space heater is covered. The student will perform flue gas analyses from these appliances and gas conversion burners and interpret the results. Set up and calibration of the burners is practiced in this course..
