This course provides the student with an in-depth study in print production critical to the success of the design team. Workflow management and advanced practices in the reproduction of artwork will be explored through demonstration and professional job simulation. Presented from the perspective of a print production manager, the course will provide an understanding of the roles of graphic designer, production artist, pressman and printer buyer, with consideration given to major desktop layout, photo and illustration document correction and preparation for printing.
