An exploration of problems in illustration involving specialized techniques in black and white and color applications. Assignments will include the illustration of thematic subjects, book, display art, and packaging with an emphasis on reproduction capabilities and design coordination consistent with advertising art. The course will focus on the development of software skills, the refinement of color theory, and the application of digital techniques to industry standards. Computer software applications will be integrated with traditional methods of illustrating for the completion of all assignments. Mediums to be studied will involve pencil, Photoshop and Vector applications.
