In this course, students will explore advanced problems in traditional illustration and be introduced to digital rendering involving specialized techniques in black and white, colour, bitmap and vector applications. Assignments will include the illustration of editorial, product, spot images, and comprehensive sketches with an emphasis on the reproduction capabilities and design coordination consistent with relevant trends advertising art. Media to be studied will involve graphite, ink, mixed media and Photoshop using pixel based and vector applications.
