In this course, students will explore vector and bitmap applications for the creation of illustrative assets typically utilized by the graphic designer in today's market. Content will focus on image making techniques, and the further exploration of industry standard software as a means to produce work for the end user., Assignments are designed to incrementally develop the student's skill set and incorporate illustrative work into a variety of print and web material, and to develop the designer's ability to select the appropriate imagery given our rapidly changing digital landscape. Students will also explore color systems as a means to evoke mood and express intent for their audience.
