An introductory course that provides a strong foundation in graphic design. Studies include the structure and functions of the graphic communication industry with an emphasis on past and present trends, their relationship to the development of technology, and the various facets of the industry. In addition students learn the steps in the design process from research to a press-ready job. This is amplified by study of the principles and fundamentals of graphic design and layout.
