General Machinist Theory & Prep III

Upon successful completion the apprentice is able to describe ferrous heat treating processes and the characteristics of non metallic materials. Demonstrates inspection and checking techniques using measuring and checking equipment; and, describes measuring and checking techniques using Optical Comparators and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Demonstrates milling of complex geometric shapes. This course is equivalent to the following courses under the Ontario College of Trades in-school curriculum: S0622 & S0623.
