Internet Working

Participants will update their current resumes with new learned skills from their recent participation in the Pre-apprenticeship Cook Program. They will undertake all aspects of an electronic job search, email distribution of their resume, and internet research to identify their transferable skills, find employers who would hire people with those skills and target market to those employers. The internet will be used to gain an understanding of their personal and professional strengths and how they should be marketing those strength to employers. Creating customized cover letters and effective interview preparation are other key elements of this course.
