Participants will undertake all aspects of preparing to work in a Culinary skilled trade environment. Students will be exposed to the realities and physical nature of this trade discussing the physical demands and nutritional requirements to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Job Search skills will also be explored as well as transferable skills, finding employers who would hire people with those skills and how to target market to those employers. Job maintenance and work ethic will also be covered. To gain an understanding of marketing to employers, creating customized cover letters and effective interview preparation are other key elements of this course.
