This Standard First Aid Course includes CPR and choking for adults in cardiac arrest. This course has also been modified to include CPR and choking for children and infants. This course will teach the participants how to approach and manage medical emergencies and provide care to the patient or victim until EMS arrives. The defibrillation component of this program is designed for people who work in an area where a Public Access Defibrillator is available, or for personnel who are looking to further their medical training. Also included is anticipation/planning of a cardiac arrest, step by step instructions on how to successfully use a defibrillator and care and stabilization of a patient. This program is authorized under Regulation 1101 of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario through our provider, Second Chance CPR.
