This is an introductory course exposing students to the basic elements of flat pattern drafting and its uses of basic symbols and cutting instructions as seen in the garment industry. A combination of lecture and lab sessions will enable the student to understand how fundamental styling details are built into a pattern. These will include: dart manipulation, seams and other fundamental styling details relating to skirt and pant design.
