This is an intermediate course on combustion of fossil fuels and heat recovery techniques. Topics include combustion efficiency, flame characteristics, heating value of fuels, excess air and flue gas composition, calculation of theoretical combustion air requirements, boilers, furnaces, burner types and applications, heaters, heat exchangers and economizers.
