This course introduces the student to both traditional and non-traditonal manufacturing processes used to convert materials into useful products. The content covers casting and foundry processes, particulate processing, deformation processes, and material removal processes. With each process, discussions regarding energy sources, utilization and current efficiency levels are presented.
