This course builds on the student's existing skills with programmable controllers. Students will develop complete machine motion programs focusing on creating good program structure, developing machine sequences, fault logic, manual/auto control and data collection. Students will also develop logic to interlock their programmable controllers to other intelligent devices such as VFD's (Variable Frequency Drives), servo systems and robots. Hands-on laboratory exercises will allow the student to program and troubleshoot programs on working assembly automation systems.
