This course provides an introduction to fundamental drafting skills and techniques used in theatre set design. The student will attain competence in the use of drafting equipment in order to produce accurate scale drawings. Graphics standards for the entertainment industry, including the drafting and interpretation of ground plans, sections, sight line studies, working drawings of individual scenic elements and light plots. Hand drafting is the primary focus with an introduction to the uses of CAD programs and related techniques.
