This course uses a goal-directed, outcomes based approach to develop each learner's knowledge and communications skills in the areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Students learn a variety of learning strategies to close the gap between their assessed entry-level skills and those required by their chosen educational and vocational goals. Mastery and application of what has been learned to real world communication situations is evaluated through the use of learning demonstrations. Content, instructional delivery, practice, feedback and application are developmentally sequenced over five separate courses. This is the second course in the sequence.
