The theme of this course is that electric circuits are part of almost all modern technological activities. Examples are given which demonstrate the intertwining of mechanical technology with electrical technology. Devices will be analysed using linear DC and AC circuits. The steady state and transient responses of devices will be covered. Practical work will be used to give students hands on experience of electrical circuits. Simulation software will be used to broaden the students' problem solving abilities.
