Students will learn about the history of energy production and costs and the dynamics of worldwide energy consumption and growth including environmental and financial impacts and consequences., Students in this course will learn the basics of renewable electricity generation with particular emphasis on wind and solar energy. As well, the rapid introduction of automated systems in industry and for the home will be examined. The electrical industry is changing rapidly in the demands for its workers. Students will be introduced to current employer expectations for recruitment, interviews, apprenticeship, journeypersons and management.
