Upon completion of this course, students will be able to recognize and identify the basic requirements for health and safety on construction sites, including both equipment and procedures. The student will learn aspects of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and be able to identify the legislative requirements relating to their workplace. Understanding the rights of the individual worker and the well-being of others in the work community will be part of this course. The course will develop an awareness of personal responsibility and realization that the Act is law.
