This course introduces the fundamentals of digital signal processing (DSP). The goal of this course is to provide the student with the foundations and tools to understand, design, and implement DSP systems, in both hardware and software. Topics covered include the following: Sampling and Aliasing; FIR and IIR filters, Convolution and LTI systems, Z-transforms, Spectrum analysis, DFT and FFT, number, representations, block diagrams; digital filter design methods and verification.
