This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of sensors and control. The different types of sensors and applications for sensors in an industrial environment will be discussed. Contact and non-contact, digital and analog, solid state and electro-mechanical devices will be covered. Students will be exposed to the use and installation of these devices in relay and PLC based control systems.
