This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of how to abide by safety rules and follow shop practices. Students learn how to determine the proper orientation of components on a printed circuit board by following a schematic diagram. Students learn how to follow verbal and written procedures as well as fabrication specifications given to them for any given electronics project. Students learn how to test and troubleshoot an electronic circuit when a fault exists and how to meet deadlines. Emphasis is also placed on each student developing the necessary skills to solder as well as desolder various components associated with printed circuit boards.
