Devices, Sensors, & Actuators

This course continues the coverage of electronic devices, such as BJT's, FET's, Thyristors and operational amplifiers . The course also covers the underlying physical principles of sensor and actuator operation., This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of sensors, such as temperature, pressure, flow, photo-optic, and level as used to control motion and sequences of machines via actuators such as electric motors and solenoids. The interfacing of various analog and digital quantities specific to industrial automation and process control systems will be studied.
